Is a coin flip truly 50/50?
In theory, yes. In practice, a real physical coin has a very slight bias (~51/49) toward the side that starts face up when flipped. This virtual coin uses a perfect 50/50 probability.
Why doesn't 10 flips always give 5 heads and 5 tails?
Each flip is independent with 50% probability. Over a small number of flips, variance is high. As the number of flips increases, the ratio converges toward 50/50 (law of large numbers).
